There are generally two types of presenters: Those who plan and prepare every single word of their script to the tee… and the ad-libbers.
No matter where you sit on the scale, if you’re presenting on a topic as an expert, there is an expectation that you know what you’re talking about! Which means… you need to know your content inside out. If you’re a scriptwriter, practising gives you freedom. And if you’re an off-the-cuff presenter, practising helps ensure you actually hit your key messages.
So today’s action step is: Practise as much as possible. It gives you more space to have fun.
To help you build your public speaking and on-camera presentation toolkit, I’m sharing fun and easy ACTION STEPS.
